Tu vieni dall’Universo
Dentro una scatola d’oro
mi porti il dono della vita
Metti riverente nelle mie mani
Sento che stai arrivando
Ti sento accanto a me
Sento il tuo respiro
Sento l’aroma di vaniglia e basilico
Le tue dita sono bagnate dai viaggi interstellari
Accarezzi teneramente i miei sogni e desideri
Raccogli attentamente le gocce del mio sudore
Guardi il firmamento con i tuoi occhi penetranti
che mi invitano a salire con te
Ma ho così tanti obblighi
e tanti rimpianti quaggiù sulla Terra
Non ho tempo per i viaggi
Se tieni un fascio di spighe di mais d’oro
nelle tue mani
strappato dal campo dei tuoi sogni
che non hai portato in vita
Hai bagnato i capelli con la schiuma
del mare di inizio estate
Apri un’ultima bottiglia di vino
con un sapore ricco dal passaggio dei secoli
che erano irrimediabilmente persi
Sopra di noi un sole splendente
mi sbalordisce
Tu vieni dall’Universo
mostrami teneramente che il nostro futuro comune
non è qui sulla Terra ma oltre nelle stelle
nel profondo abbraccio dell’infinito
Ci apparteniamo

Sull’Autore
Christos Dikbasanis, nato a Salonicco nel 1961, è un poeta, scrittore e studioso di religioni con un Master in Studi religiosi presso l’Università Aristotele di Salonicco. Rinomato per le sue poesie, saggi e racconti, Dikbasanis è stato pubblicato in numerose riviste letterarie nazionali e internazionali. Le sue poesie sono state adattate per il palcoscenico da gruppi teatrali e incluse in prestigiose enciclopedie letterarie. Dikbasanis ha scritto diverse raccolte di poesie e libri, riflettendo i suoi profondi interessi nell’umanità, nella natura, nell’universo, nell’antropologia, nella mitologia e nella storia religiosa. Il suo impegno ha ottenuto importanti riconoscimenti, tra cui premi nazionali e internazionali, e traduzioni in inglese, spagnolo e italiano.

You come from the Universe
Inside a golden box
you bring me the gift of life
You reverently place in my hands
I feel your coming
I feel you next to me
I hear your breath
You smell vanilla and basil
Your fingers are wet from interstellar travel
You tenderly caress my dreams and desires
You carefully collect the drops of my sweat
You gaze upon the firmament with your piercing eyes
urging me to come up there with you
But I have so many obligations
and so many regrets down here on Earth
I don’t have time for travels
You hold a bundle of golden corn ears
in your hands
plucked from the field of your dreams
that you didn’t get to bring to life
You wet your hair with the foam
of the early summer sea
You open one last bottle of wine
with a rich flavor from the passage of centuries
which were irretrievably lost
Above us a bright sun
blows my mind
You come from the Universe
tenderly show me that our common future
isn’t here on the Earth but beyond in the stars
in the deep embrace of infinity
We belong there
me and you my lonely star
